On 2nd March 2023 I passed the Microsoft SC-200 exam where I demonstrated my learning surrounding Microsoft Sentinel and the Azure suite.

During this course I was able to form a solid foundation of common cyber security concepts, such as the CIA triad, and an understanding of attack techniques used by criminal hackers such as social engineering and man in the middle attacks.

Included were practical elements where I was able to try out some of these techniques for myself (in a virtual home lab, of course!). Some of the tools I used were Nmap, netcat and BeEF.

This short training course, provided by Amazon, discusses the basics of cyber security. This included phishing, social engineering, physical security, information security, and privacy. Taking this training was a good reminder of the basic awareness surrounding cyber security.
